Upload an image to blur or pixelate it on this page.

Upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, or BMP file to blur the whole image or a selected area directly in your browser.

Select the blur area

Drag on the source preview to choose the region you want to blur or pixelate. Switch to full-image mode if you want the effect everywhere.

Blurred preview

Apply the effect to update the preview before you download the final image.

Blur for softer privacy

Use regular blur when you want to soften a background or de-emphasize details while keeping the shape readable.

Pixelate for stronger masking

Pixelate is better for hiding faces, license plates, and on-screen data because it removes more detail in a smaller area.

Keep the process local

This tool runs in your browser, so you can preview sensitive edits before saving and sharing the final image.

How to get a clean blur result

For screenshots and documents, zoom in mentally on the important private details first. A smaller selected area with stronger pixelation usually protects privacy better than blurring a very large region.

If you are working on portraits or product shots, full-image blur is rarely the goal. Selected blur gives you more control so the subject stays sharp while the background feels softer and less distracting.

When exporting to JPG, this page adds a white background behind transparent areas. If you need transparency to stay intact, download the blurred result as PNG or WEBP instead.
